In Welcome Collection
I visited the Welcome collection, and I was rather impressed by some of the exhibits about the body, and about beauty.
This sculpture has the aroma of breast milk, which seems to be the odour of this material itself. The shape of the sculpture is somewhat like a nipple, expressing the theme from both the visual and olfactory senses.
This work uses the blood of three AIDS patients to press the texture of each round block, which naturally creates a different surface texture. The artist has also collected audio recordings of these three patients' self-reports from different generations. This way of expression is quite special and inspired me.
This artist applied temperature-changing paint to the face and photographed the temperature changes in various areas of the face when a person was in different moods. I have also expressed emotions in my work by drawing temperature zones of the human body, while this artist's expression is more direct, which I can learn from.
Very beautiful sculpture that mimics the process of incense making.
The black sculpture using reflective material is an interesting form that can be photographed in flash mode to reveal a bright white light all over the body.
