In Morocco——ceramics & leather factory

Moroccan ceramic workshops produce many of the local specialities of tajine pots in a wide range of colours and patterns.

Workers would mix cement with small pieces of ceramic in different colours and shapes to make patterned tiles.

The workshop is full of decorative vessels combining metal and ceramics, where the metal is made into a mesh and then pressed into the ceramics with a machine to complete the bond. In addition, camel's bones are used as decoration in porcelain.

I visited the largest leather factory in Morocco to gain an understanding of the process of making leather products.
